Der Workshop Goldene Worte, eine Kooperation mit dem “Feminist Cross Stitch Club”, schafft einen Raum für den künstlerischen Ausdruck feministischer Kämpfe, Körperbewusstsein und kollektiver Erinnerung. Ziel ist es, die jahrhundertelangen Kämpfe von Frauen sichtbar zu machen und das Bewusstsein für Emanzipation zu stärken. Der Morgenmantel, traditionell ein Symbol des Privaten und Häuslichen, wird in diesem Workshop zur Protestfahne für Selbstbestimmung. Mit goldenen Stickereien und kraftvollen Slogans versehen, tritt er aus dem Verborgenen heraus und wird zum Zeichen des Widerstands im öffentlichen Raum. Violetter Satin, weich und fließend, steht für den feministischen Kampf – entschlossen und doch inklusiv. Die goldenen Worte, die Stich für Stich in den Stoff eingearbeitet sind, erzählen die Geschichte des andauernden Kampfes um Gleichberechtigung und machen die Langwierigkeit dieses Prozesses spürbar. Handarbeit wird hier nicht als traditionelle Frauenarbeit verstanden, sondern als eine Form des Widerstands, die Generationen verbindet. Der Workshop bietet Raum für Austausch, kollektives Lernen und Erfahrungsaustausch – eine Praxis feministischer Selbstermächtigung. Im Feminist Cross Stitch Club verschmelzen Kunst und Aktivismus zu einer gemeinsamen Bewegung, die feministische Botschaften auf Morgenmänteln in den öffentlichen Raum trägt. Ein leiser Protest, der unüberhörbar wird.

The Golden Words Workshop, a collaboration with ‘the Feminist Cross Stitch Club’, creates a space for the artistic expression of feminist struggles, body awareness, and collective memory. The aim is to make visible the centuries-long struggles of women and to raise awareness of emancipation. The robe, traditionally a symbol of the private and household, becomes a protest flag of self-determination in this workshop. Adorned with golden embroidery and powerful slogans, it emerges from the shadows and becomes a symbol of resistance in the public sphere. Purple satin, soft and flowing, stands for the feminist struggle – resolute yet inclusive. The golden words, embroidered into the fabric tell the story of the ongoing struggle for equality and make the lingering nature of this process tangible. Here, needlework is not understood as traditional women’s work, but as a form of resistance that connects generations. The workshop offers space for exchange, collective learning, and the sharing of experiences – a practice of feminist self-empowerment. Within The Feminist Cross Stitch Club, art and activism merge into a collective movement that brings feminist messages into the public sphere, carried on robes. A quiet protest that is unmistakable.
